The HIC staff members are eager to work with you, whether you are a
current student, prospective student, or institutional representative
looking for an excellent short-and/or long-term credit or non-credit
academic program or a summer English program in Hawaii. Let us introduce
our friendly staff.
Walter is the Office Manager. His functions
include International Admissions Support and Student Services in
addition to handling the day-to-day affairs of the office. He likes
watching and playing sports.
Takashi
is Educational Specialist. His responsibilities include International
Admissions, F-1 Student Advising
and SEVIS system management. Takashi also assists in KCC’s
marketing efforts to recruit international students. He loves surfing.
Ken is International Program Coordinator
for Japanese programs and partnerships and develops, coordinates
and implements customized training programs. He also coordinates
study abroad international student exchange and scholarship programs.
His hobbies are outdoor activities and listening to music.
Tom develops international relationships.
He also coordinates customized training programs with colleges and
universities and organizational partnerships in Japan, Korea, China,
Taiwan and other countries. He likes to spend his off-work hours
golfing and playing tennis.
Mimi
is International Student Counselor and provides academic counseling
and advising for students enrolled
in ESOL 197 Intensive Transition Program, ESOL 90, 91 and 92. She
also assists in student’s visa application such as reinstatement,
change of status, etc. Mimi loves swimming.
Dr. Richards is Executive Director of the Honda International
Center and, in his capacity, oversees all international education
initiatives at KCC. He is also Senior Academic Dean of the college.
His hobby is seeing students grow.
