Policies and Procedures of the Computing Labs

Note: Policies for Cybernesia are identical to that of the Iliahi 128 and Lama 101 labs except that 128 and 101 are mainly for academic use. Iliahi 125 and 126 does not administer any tests.

ID Policy: For all first time users and returning students, a current pink slip (preferred) or validated library card is required. A lab logon ID code will be issued at this time, which will allow the users to sign-in and sign-out of our labs. This code will be good for the entire current semester at Iliahi 125, 126, 128, and Lama 101. Students must obtain a new code for every semester.

Time Limit: A student may use a computer for no more than 90 minutes when others are waiting. If at the end of the 90 minute session and there are no students waiting, a student may continue to use the computer until a demand arises.

Waiting List: If all the computers in the lab are occupied, students can be placed on the wait-list. As computers become available, the monitor on-duty will notify the students on the list-the first ones on the list should be the first ones notified.

Printing Policy: Students must purchase a $5 Danyl Card from either the library circulation desk or from the vending machine in Iliahi 125. The card will cost $1.00, and you will have a $4.00 credit good for 40 printouts. Students may add value to the cards using the Xerox machines in the library or using the Danyl Card vending machine in Iliahi 125. NO CHANGE WILL BE GIVEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AT THIS TIME.

Food and Drink: Students are welcome to eat and drink in the lab at Iliahi 125 although they must use the designated areas. No food or drinks are allowed near the computer stations.
