Advising & Counseling

Advising and counseling are means for students to obtain information about the college programs, services, and resources and to receive assistance in accessing the services and using the resources. Additionally, through advising and counseling students can receive assistance with decision making and problem solving.

Advisors and counselors provide program advising, academic planning, transfer planning, career exploration and planning, learning assistance, and personal counseling to help students attain their educational, career and life goals, and to promote students’ self-development and personal awareness.

Students should read the information that follows to be aware of the college policies and procedures, services and resources and should use the information to chart their academic plan and to manage their progress. If students require assistance, contacting their advisor or counselor is strongly recommended.
