Academic Standing

Academic Standing refers to the standard of achievement a student has obtained based on grades earned. Students who have attempted 12 or more credit hours with a grade point average less than 2.0 (“C” average) are in poor academic standing and are subject to college sanctions. Refer to the Probation, Suspension, and Dismissal policy of the catalog for details.

Students in poor academic standing may be denied graduation, financial aid, and/or continuous enrollment. Students on academic probation or suspension should meet with an advisor/counselor before registering for classes.

Dismissed students who seek readmission to college must make an appointment with the Dean of Students or designee in Ilima 205 or phone 808.734.9522.
